Rudyard Kipling: The Jungle Book
"I have never seen a man's cub," said Mother Wolf. "Bring him here. How little he is! And not afraid at all!"
Before long the man cub becomes Mother Wolf's favourite. He is given the name Mowgli - "Little Frog" in the language of the wolves. He spends his days playing with his four wolf-brothers, and learning about the Law of the Jungle from Baloo, the old brown bear, and Bagheera, the black panther.
But Mowgli is in danger. Shere Khan, the bad-tempered old tiger, hates him and wants to kill him. How can Mowgli, who is only a child, fight against the tiger? And where does Mowgli really belong - in the jungle with his friends, or in the world of men?
